IBS Video Tape Education Program for Physicians

A physician education videotape and study guide entitled: "A Biopsychosocial Approach to Irritable Bowel Syndrome: Improving the Physician-Patient Relationship," reviews the epidemiology, pathophysiology, and diagnostic and treatment approach to IBS. In addition, through simulated patient encounters, the program offers guidelines to help physicians communicate more effectively with patients having mild, moderate or severe symptoms.

The program was written by Douglas A. Drossman, M.D., co-produced with Bill Kush of Zancom International, and is sponsored jointly by the International Foundation for Functional GI Disorders and the University of North Carolina Functional GI Disorders Center with an educational grant from Solvay Pharmaceuticals.
