• Sponsor symposia and review abstracts for the AGA Annual Meeting
• Adopt Neurogastroenterology & Motility as our official journal

EDUCATION

• Sponsor a Young Investigators forum, a unique opportunity for GI fellows and others involved in functional GI disorders to present their research and interact with others in this field.
• Co-sponsor with the IFFGD an international symposium for the education of health professionals every two years.
• Work with the IFFGD on educational materials for patients.

PROMOTE COLLEGIALITY

• Work with other organizations in the field of brain-gut interactions and functional GI disorders.
• Work with the AMS, ESNM and IMS Group toward the goal of having a joint scientific meeting dedicated to functional brain gut disorders each year.

PUBLIC POLICY

• Work with the IFFGD on matters of public policy

CELEBRATE EXCELLENCE

• Sponsor three annual awards: Young Investigator , Research Scientist, and International Travel Award
